Menu Discoveries

Tonight's meal was naan bread pizza made from the bargain naan breads (twelve twin packs for £1) I ordered from Approved Food. We used leftover home made tomato sauce (made last night to go with pancakes), mozzarella, chicken, pesto, red pepper, herbs and a drizzle of olive oil. Everyone assembled their own and because we used a bread base they only took ten minutes in a moderate oven. Such a quick meal I didn't even get a photo.

One of the easiest and cheapest ways to make pizza. Trying to save money on food is leading to some delicious discoveries. This one will definitely be appearing on our menu again soon.

Now I'm off to finish making rhubarb & ginger crème brulée for our Valentine's meal tomorrow evening. This may take a little longer...

  1. Claire, thanks for reminding me about pizzas! We used to cook them often when the kids lived at home and really enjoyed trying out different toppings.
Enjoy your rhubarb and ginger creme brulee!

  2. Rhubarb and ginger creme brulee!? That sounds like just about the most amazingly tasty dessert. You must please post the recipe at your earliest convenience.

By the way, I've read the book you sent and I just loved it. Thanks again.

    1. Hi Jenny so glad you enjoyed the book. Downsizing to a tiny house is beyond my reach at the moment but it certainly inspires me to declutter as much as I can. The recipe can be found via a link a few posts back 'For My Valentine' xo

    2. Oh, thank you. I must have missed that link.

Yes, moving into a smaller house isn't in the cards for us but I can rethink my spending and declutter for sure.
